I have affectionately named this favourite blouse in my collection 'Elizabeth', because of the fabulous Elizabethan-style ruffle collar that frames the neckline and draws attention to the face and also décolletage, depending on how you style the collar - I've included images of how it can be worn (I keep it close to the body if wearing it to a professional event (image 2), but otherwise style it relaxed and open (image 1)). The collar tapers down to a ruched panel, and closure, all the way down the front, is by hook and eye.
Bust darts and panelled shaping at the back creates a beautiful slim, tailored fit (that I haven't seen with many Review items since) - so, do keep in mind that it is designed to be fitted at the waist.
Vertical grey and white stripes keeps this piece, with the elegant, vintage-inspired collar feature, contemporary and allows it to fit effortlessly into the modern woman's wardrobe.
I get compliments on this every time I wear it and am only letting go of it, because my post-intensive upper body training physique has robbed me of my ability to fit half my existing wardrobe.
This piece was also designed and made in Australia. Cotton/polyester.
There is a tiny stain on the left shoulder next to the collar, and a tiny speck stain on the right sleeve (see close-up images), presumably left by one of the hangers in the laundry. I only noticed these because I was very carefully scanning every part of the item for any imperfections for this listing. (I personally do not find these noticeable)
